GIORGIO PATERLINI

Giorgio Paterlini

Was born in 1966 in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

He graduated from the Istituto d'Arte "Gaetano Chierici" in Reggio Emilia and later specialized in metal working and jewelry making at the Politecnico del Commercio in Milan, obtaining the title of "Maestro Orafo" (master jeweler). Giorgio Paterlini
He began his goldsmith apprenticeship with some jewelers in his hometown; He opened his own goldsmith store in 1991, "IL SIGILLO" (the Seal), using the acquired experience in creating unusual jewels.

During this time, he was also commissioned to execute religious objects: a votive crown in gold and an embossed silver altar frontal that can be found in the Basilica della Ghiara in Reggio Emilia.
In 1994, he collaborated with the Istituto d'Arte "Gaetano Chierici" in Reggio Emilia, together with other master jewelers in his hometown, and spearheaded the initiative "From the city to emotion - Golden paths". Giorgio Paterlini

In 1995, he transformed his goldsmith store in Reggio Emilia into a small gallery, "IL SIGILLO - Art jewels" in order to deepen and characterize his own work.
Recently, Mr. Paterlini has created jewels from the designs of designer artist Giovanni Menada.
He has also interpreted, in gold, the terracotta works of sculptor Vasco Montecchi.
